Transcendante.

Pianist Boris Cepeda returns to Weill Recital Hall with Transcendante—an all-Liszt program that pushes the limits of the piano repertoire. The Études d’exécution transcendante, the Grandes études de Paganini, the Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2, Rhapsodie espagnole, and Liszt’s transcriptions of Schubert’s “Erlkönig” and two Wagner masterworks form a single arc: Liszt as poet, virtuoso, and visionary.
