Artist Spotlight: Batiashvili, Capuçon & Thibaudet, at Lincoln Center (Site)
Saturday October 24, 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

The Arts Desk called them “a supergroup to savor.” The stellar trio of violinist Lisa Batiashvili, cellist Gautier Capuçon, and pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet explore the rich inspiration three composers brought to the piano trio. Shostakovich and Debussy wrote their trios before age 20, offering early glimpses of their later styles. Dvořák’s trio, by contrast, is a mature work and one of his most emotionally powerful compositions.
Program
