Carnegie Hall’s Opening Night Gala: Lang Lang, Dudamel, Castillo and the Los Angeles Philharmonic

Performers
Los Angeles Philharmonic
Gustavo Dudamel, Music and Artistic Director
Lang Lang, Piano
Gustavo Castillo, Baritone

This star-studded Opening Night performance features renowned pianist Lang Lang and the incomparable Los Angeles Philharmonic under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel. As soloist in Rachmaninoff’s spellbinding and immensely popular Piano Concerto No. 2, Lang Lang kicks off not only our 2024–2025 season, but also his own, three-concert Perspectives series here at the Hall. Also featured is baritone Gustavo Castillo, who reprises his recent role with the ensemble as soloist in Ginastera’s ballet Estancia. Experience music history as it’s made at one of the year’s most celebratory musical events.

Celebrate the launch of our 2024–2025 season, and complete this glamorous evening with the option of attending a pre-concert cocktail reception at Carnegie Hall; a post-concert, black-tie gala dinner at Cipriani 42nd Street; or both. Individual gala tickets start at $1,000 and include prime seating for the concert. Proceeds from the gala support Carnegie Hall’s artistic, music education, and social impact programs.
