One of Australia’s most sought-after concert pianists, Coady Green has established a reputation as a major talent on the international stage, described as “a virtuoso pianist with sensitivity, intelligence and charm” (Musical Opinion, London), with “a strong and versatile technique capable of the most delicate coloring and tonal brilliance, rising to the challenges of extreme virtuoso demands with relish” (The Advertiser, South Australia). After winning many of Australia’s most prestigious awards, including a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellowship, he relocated to London in 2005. During more than a decade there he combined a flourishing international performing career with teaching positions at Goldsmiths College, University of London, and the Royal College of Music, and was the recipient of a number of further international awards. He has since performed in more than 25 countries, appearing at Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Sydney Opera House, Salzburg Mozarteum, and the Shanghai and Beijing Concert Halls.

He collaborates regularly with leading Australian and international artists, appearing with renowned singers, instrumentalists, and ensembles across a wide range of repertoires. In Australia, his long-standing partnership with saxophonist Justin Kenealy as Duo Eclettico has gained national recognition as one of the country’s leading classical saxophone-piano duos. Green has also played an influential role in international piano culture. He was founder and director of the International Liszt Society Piano Prize (London, UK), Artistic Director of the International Open Piano Competition in its iterations in the UK and Italy, and served as Artistic Director of the UK Liszt Society and a director of the UK Alkan Society. He continues to be in demand as an adjudicator for major competitions across Australia and abroad, and as a visiting lecturer at leading music institutions worldwide.
