Known for his genre-blending style\, James fuses the improvisational spirit of jazz with the nuance and structure of contemporary classical music. \nThis concert marks the world premiere of Fallen — a suite of art songs inspired by the final scenes of Wim Wenders’ iconic film Wings of Desire. In addition to Fallen\, James will present a collection of works inspired by poets such as Gregory Corso\, Hafiz\, E.E. Cummings\, and Diane di Prima\, setting their words to haunting and evocative music. \nHe will be joined by the phenomenal vocalist Brendan Jacob Smith\, known for his work with the vocal group T.3 and the US Tour of The Simon and Garfunkel Story. \nCome experience a night of poetry\, emotion\, and sound that defies boundaries.
