The Grammy Award–winning composer and conductor Teddy Abrams, longtime music director of the Louisville Orchestra, kicks off Juilliard’s orchestral year with a program featuring the commission and world premiere of alum Elise Arancio’s Three Movements on Silence. Among Arancio’s many accolades is Juilliard’s 2025 Pisar Prize in Composition. The program also includes 2026 Pulitzer Prize winner Gabriela Lena Frank’s Apu: Tone Poem for Orchestra, and works by Aaron Copland and former Juilliard president William Schuman.

This performance is part of the Juilliard Fall Festival.
