Khatia Buniatishvili Solo Recital at Carnegie Hall (Site)
Thursday October 19, 2023, 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Performer
Khatia Buniatishvili, Piano
The irrepressibly virtuosic Khatia Buniatishvili returns to Carnegie Hall for her highly anticipated debut in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. Buniatishvili has earned legions of fans with her “fantastic fingers, a charismatic stage presence, a warm, glowing tone and strongly expressed ideas” (Gramophone), and her performances always boast fleet-fingered fireworks. With multiple works by Liszt, two Beethoven piano sonatas, and Stravinsky’s Three Movements from Pétrouchka on the program (the latter composed for pianist Arthur Rubinstein), this concert is an excellent recommendation for anyone interested in essential piano repertoire.
