Lafayette Harris continue’s to share the stage with Houston Person whom he recorded with in 2015 on the CD The Melody Lingers On, and Roswell Rudd who he has recorded with in the summer of 2016. He played with the late great Ernestine Anderson since 2006 on both her live and on her final 3 CD’s making him her last fulltime pianist. In years past he has played with and arranged for the great Max Roach one of the inventors of modern jazz. He was the last pianist for this great jazz icon. Lafayette has 8 CD’s as a leader as of 2017. His recordings have also included the great jazz vocalists Anita O’day (Indestructable, her last recording) and the last 3 CD’s by Ernestine Anderson all on Highnote Records.
