170 years after Leoš Janáček’s birth in 1854, Lisa Moore presents the composer’s three major works for piano, while centering her program around early 20th century music inspired by imagery and features of the natural world, life cycles and humanity. The concert includes the New York premiere of Meadow Bridgham’s Seventeen Years – the life cycle of a cicada – celebrating this insect’s 2024 rare double brood.
