Polish-American soprano Magdalena Kuźma is promptly establishing a name for herself in both concert and operatic repertoire. Recently, Ms. Kuźma made her role debut as Susanna in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro under Matthew Aucoin’s baton at the Aspen Music Festival and debuted another role as Bubikopf in Der Kaiser von Atlantis with both the New World Symphony and The Louisville Orchestra. She then returned to The Metropolitan Opera to reprise her role as Papagena in The Magic Flute.
Internationally acclaimed pianist and vocal coach Katelan Trần Terrell has been a member of the music staff at the Metropolitan Opera since 2019. Prior to her appointment to full-time staff at the Met in 2021, she served for two seasons as opera coach and collaborative piano teacher at the Opera Academy of the Grand Theatre-National Opera in Warsaw, where she remains guest faculty. Ms. Terrell has also coached at the Tokyo International Vocal Arts Academy, the Feliks Nowowiejski Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, and at the Chautauqua Institution Voice Program.
