Collide-O-Scope Music performs music by Alban Berg, Arnold Schoenberg, Milton Babbitt, and Christopher Bailey. The ensemble will be joined by Mezzo-Soprano Kayleigh Butcher who will perform Schoenberg’s song cycle Das Buch Der Hängenden Gärten, Opus 15. Also on the program is Alban Berg’s Four Pieces For Clarinet And Piano, Opus 5, and Milton Babbitt’s Canonical Form. The program will also include a screening of Christopher Bailey’s The Stuffed Ones, a microtonal electronic work with accompanying film. At the intermission, there will be a roundtable discussion of the evolution of Arnold Schoenberg and his impact on music in the Twenty-First Century with Joshua Banks Mailman, Julie Harting, Christopher Bailey, and Mikel Kuehn.
