Max Alper, formerly known as La Meme Young, is a Boston-born composer, improviser, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist whose work spans experimental pop, electro-acoustic music, North Indian ragas, and free improvisation. Known for his sharp commentary on music education and industry dynamics, Alper returned to the U.S. in 2023 after four years in Puerto Rico, releasing the emotionally charged album It Doesn’t Get Cold In October Anymore under the moniker Peretsky. Merging minimalist piano, blues, and experimental vocals, the album reflects personal and political upheaval, blending artistic vulnerability with a commitment to justice, liberation, and reclaiming joy through sound.
Omar Ahmad is a Palestinian-American composer, producer, and DJ known for his atmospheric, globally-inspired soundscapes and contributions to Brooklyn’s underground electronic scene. His acclaimed debut album Inheritance and its remix follow-up reflect his focus on sonic storytelling and cultural resistance. A 2025 Pioneer Works Music Resident, he co-founded the global music series Ūmboma and is a key contributor to New York’s Laylit collective.
Cassandra Croft is an American songwriter and vocalist known for her intimate, dreamlike songs that blend folk tradition with ambient textures. Raised on the West Coast and now based in New York, her music explores themes of memory, nature, and loss with stark lyricism and layered arrangements. Her 2024 debut single, Country Of Your Mind, drew critical acclaim for its haunting beauty. Croft has collaborated with artists like Julianna Barwick and Rachika Nayar, and her work has been featured by Red Hot Org and Grouper. She is currently touring North America.
