About “Immigrant Tales”

In a constantly evolving world, our spirits journey, settle, and adapt, making us all global wanderers at times. Our origins may surprise us, yet our birthplace and citizenship often shape our life’s course. Some doors are closed, but the quest for keys drives us.

This suite, composed for a Jazz quartet and a small chamber ensemble, embarks on a journey through seven compositions. Each musical note is born from stories of perseverance, resonating with the silent struggles of unopened doors. Let us remember and honor those forgotten doors too.
