This Salon 58 concert will focus on works by composers whose lives were affected by WWI. The centerpiece of the program will be Ravel’s Piano Trio, as well as movements of his “Tombeau de Couperin” arranged for piano trio. The other works are by composers who died young during the war, and thus never rose to prominence. These pieces will be selections from William Baines’ “Seven Preludes for Piano,” Rudi Stephan’s “Groteske for Violin and Piano,” and Alberic Magnard’s Piano Trio in F Minor
