Works for Solo Piano, and for Violin and Piano, at Lehman College Art Gallery (Site)
Thursday February 16, 2023, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
FreeConcerts in the Heights is proud to present Chinese pianist Ruoting Li in a program of solo piano music spanning several centuries. Ruoting made her Stern Auditorium Carnegie Hall debut in March of 2020 to critical acclaim. She will be joined by our artistic director Monica Bauchwitz in Clara Schumann’s 3 Romances for Violin and Piano. Clara Schumann was one of the leading pianists of the 19th century as well as a wonderful composer. She was also married to Robert Schumann and a close friend of Johannes Brahms. Karl Kramer will perform his “5 Pages from Gerry’s Abridged World Atlas” – these are short “musical postcards” from 5 different international locations.
Solo piano works and Clara Schumann 3 Romances for Violin and Piano, new work by Karl Kramer, Monica Bauchwitz – violin, Karl Kramer – horn, Ruoting Li – piano
