DESCRIPTION:A five\, six\, seven\, eight…come on down and swing along to the best ragtime\, stride\, and jazz the Big Apple has to offer. With special performances on select Thursdays and sprinkled spontaneously throughout the season. \nYuka Aikawa was born in Japan and holds a B.A. in classical piano performance from Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo and an M.A. in jazz performance from Queens College\, New York. Currently\, she is a dance accompanist at Barnard College\, The New School\, and the Mark Morris Dance Center. She also accompanies musical theater\, choir\, and preschool movement classes at Third Street Music School. Yuka is a regular pianist for Piano in Bryant Park.
